CORI forms: WPS is not in compliance with the state regulation that requires all employees to
have current CORI forms on file. It has been the practice to have this completed upon being
hired, but must be done every three years. All employees will be receiving a form to complete
and return.
There is a legislative proposal entitled "Stand For Children" with a mission to make significant changes to the collective bargaining rights of educators in Massachusetts. The MTA has been fighting this proposal over the past year, and a compromise may be on the horizon (with uncertain consequences at this time). In order to have members more aware of the issue, included is a link to the key features of the 'Stand' proposal. The URL is below.
(It may take a minute to open. If you can not open the link, information can me found on the MTA website.)
Member activism may be needed on the horizon depending on how things progress.
